The First Step

Before I start embroidering beads onto a baju. I will first draw the design on a piece of paper. This is one of my design on paper. Haven't transfered it yet on the baju :) It looks good I think.

To Die For

OMG!! I totally heart this vid. All the bead embroidery works are fabulous. I gots to get me some of these stuff. These are great great inspiration for me.

My first project

I found this old photo of my first project. It is my own baju kurung but I have never worn it because I don't really like the fabric. I don't remember how I got it. So, I used it as my guinea pig. It turned out ok but the finishing was not too great. Here it is, what do you think?

Starburst

Starburst

This one if for a young woman still in collage. Something simple and not too crowded. The fabric is chiffon so I didn't want to make the design too heavy as the fabric is very soft and light.

Close-up of the hands.

The flowers look like stars.

How to Care for Beaded Garments

Sequins and beads can add sparkle to your clothes. However, they need special care and attention to keep them nice and shiny.

Washing
1. Button or zip garments completely.
2. Turn it inside out.
3. Do not machine wash! Hand wash only.
4. Wash the dirty parts and take care not to scrub the beads.
5. Wring the parts of the garment without beads only.
6. If dry cleaning, make sure to inform them that your garment is beaded.
7. Dry the garments inside out. Do not dry out in very hot sun.

Ironing
1. Turn garments inside out.
2. Iron carefully. Better to use a piece of cloth on top of your garments when ironing.
3. If using steam iron, iron on the wrong side of the garments also. Do not iron directly on the beads.

Hope this helps :)
