Crumble Mumble Rozita

Rozita's Crumble Mumble

This is actually one of my favourite :) My first time working on a plain coloured baju. Plus, the owner told me any design is ok with her. So the possibility of designs were endless. It took me ages to think of the colours and also a lot of trips to the local craft shops to get supplies.... but it was worth it!! I learned a lot while doing this Crumble Mumble. Thanks to Pepari, the original designer of this pattern of beading. Love her works!

For me, sewing this design was hard because I had to think a lot about where to put what and what colour should be where *sighs*. The original creator of this design must be a genius hehehe.

The hands part I did sort of manik tabur rapat using a variety of different colour materials, beads and such.

What do you think? Jadi ka ni?

Blue Green Crystals

Manik Tabur

This is my baju kurung. I bought the kain because I like the colour verymuch. Because of the colour of the kain, which was very busy, I decided the best design for this is the manik tabur rapat (scattered beads).

I also added blue and green crystals to add just a little bit of colour. Yes, the design is very simple and looks easy but seriously(!!!) it took a lot of effort and time to sew the beads closely.

On the hands, I just sew simple braided beads using small green pearls and also blue and white cylinder beads.

The kain is busy :)

Orange Berries

Orange Berries

I heart this design!! (puji diri la pulak). I bought the orange pearls a long time ago because the colour is so lovely. Finally, I was able to use it in this design and it turns out beautifully. I think the pearls made this whole design.

The baju kurung had 3 colours: pink, purple and orange. So, to match the kain, I made the flowers in pink sequins, added the orange pearls and small purple sequins flowers. The purple flowers looks kinda like lavenders. The green beaded leaves bring out the colours of the design.

Delicate Vines

I love the colour of this baju kurung and the material is very easy to work with. This lady wears tudung, so she asked for a simple design on the front of the baju and hands only.

To bring out the flowers, i use light yellow sequins. I added bright pink crystals and orange pearls for highlights.

Also I added a simple single line of beads on the neck because even though the lady wears tudung, she feels like its a bit empty without any 'bling-bling' on her neck.

I love it!!

Sweet Baby Crumble

Sweet Baby Crumble

This design is for a lady who wants something simple and elegant. So I chose to use pearls to add elegance into the design.

Actually the 'crumble mumble' design (Designer: Pepari) is a very heavy design. So to satisfy this lady's desire for something simple, I decided to make it into smaller 'baby' crumble instead of the full blown crumble design.

Alhamdulillah she loves it :) Leave a comment and let me know what you think :)
